Expo is a company founded by AlleyCorp (founder of mongoDB, DoubleClick, Business Insider, among many others). We have raised $2.5MM in seed funding and we're looking for talented folks who are passionate about food to join our adventure.
Imagine a world where you could easily learn from grandmothers in Italy cooking gnocchi, follow along as a woman in a small shop in Bangkok cooks pad thai, or simply discover someone in your city who has been making the same recipes for generations. Expo opens that door.
We will create a new digital creator platform for the $1.7T food market, where anyone can easily share content, build a following, monetize, and find community. We are building the new food network for the long tail, enabling anyone across the world to build their own food channel.
We believe the future of recipes is ultimately short-form videos. Our first product will be a mobile video recipe creator app for the long tail food creators and personalities. Our goal is to make it super easy for the creators to create short-form video content. After that we will build a great search, discovery, viewing and organization experience for the users.
