Manager, Platform & Delivery Management (Consumer and Auto Lending Technology)-1901421

Description

Manager, Platform & Delivery Management works within the operating structure for Consumer and Auto Lending technology, being the final authority for decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality for all the work done by the support teams. S/he possesses an in depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the business line for platform stabilization and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

* Accountable for overall health and wellbeing of a large portfolio of applications supporting the Lending Business area
* Accountable for the full lifecycle of application management from onboarding through routine maintenance, information security, currency, retirement, rationalization, and replacement


* Manages vendors supporting applications as needed, and represents needs of the portfolio to vendor management when a relationship is owned by another CIO team
* Interfaces with all Infrastructure, Architecture, Development, Information Security, Testing, and related departments for shared services in support of the portfolio
* Addresses all product-related queries on time


* Analyzes customers' needs and suggest upgrades and/or additional features to meet their requirements


* Identifies solutions to reduce support costs


* Manages level 1 and 2 incidents and provides level 3 expertise for incidents impacting applications in the portfolio
* Reviews platforms to assure their stability and creates plans to safeguard this


* Leverages technical and industry expertise to transition clients and their data


* Manages schedule and scope to ensure on time delivery of product enhancements, fixes, and versions


* Manages project scope to stay within project deployment budgets


* Prioritizes and context-switch effectively to execute on simultaneous priorities, seeing each through to the finish line


* Provides timely status reporting to all stakeholders


* Reports on product performance


* Sets, manages, and communicates expectations both internally and externally


* Thinks critically about how to improve our current processes and tools as our client base expands


* Trains customers to use products effectively



Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree; in computer science engineering or an equivalent discipline or equivalent work experience


* A minimum of 5-9 years of experience in IT Project Management, Support Team Management and/or Application Portfolio Management


* Budgeting and forecasting


* Demonstrated knowledge of the latest technology innovations and their applicability to business operations


* Demonstrated relationship management and leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of influence and negotiation with all levels of management


* Demonstrated understanding of IT Service Management concepts and procedures


* Highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities


* Highly organized, self-motivated, customer oriented and able to work independently as well as within a team


* IT Effectiveness: application sourcing, technology strategy and planning


* Metrics knowledge


* Proactive team player with effective time management skills; ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines/projects and keep key players informed


* Proven track record managing large, complex software environments and ensuring quality and production stability


* Solid knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own business


* Strong program, project management, and leadership skills


* Strong reporting, decision making, analytical and problem solving skills


* Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking
