OVERVIEW:

The Senior A/V Systems Engineer will join our Technology Solutions Department and will work with suppliers, general contractors, and design groups to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget. They will solve customer, vendor and supplier problems, and assist the superintendent, project manager and field personnel as needed.

Job Description:

The Senior Audio Visual Engineer-Designer will possess a great combination of customer communication skills and technical skills. Responsibilities include partnering with our experienced sales professionals to design integrated mission critical and high profile integrated audio visual, videoconferencing, broadcast systems and performing site inspections for quality control / quality assurance measures of installation work. Successful candidate needs good communication skill set to interface with clients, architects, contractors, and company staff. Daily challenges include determining and understanding our clients' culture of use for audio visual systems and workspace requirements and applying leading edge technologies to meet those requirements.

The Senior Audio Visual Systems Engineer will share the company's core values of honesty, integrity and continued self-improvement. Some travel is required with this position.

We expect the successful applicant to be able to hit the ground running with a formidable background specifically in the Audio / Visual industry. This includes knowledge of best practice installation standards and design standards for Projectors, Screen sizes, Room Combining, Video Tele-Conferencing, Soft/Hard Codec design and setup, CobraNet networking, and a host of other technologies.

Required Skills:

* Proven track record for providing turnkey solutions on time, within budget
* Experience with large scale labor and materials estimating required
* VTC certification a plus. Experience required
* DSP certification a plus. Experience required
* AVIXA (InfoComm) CTS-D highly desired
* AutoCAD/Visio experience desired
* Documented experience in AV industry standards and design principles, current and emerging AV technologies, networked AV and control systems, audio and video teleconferencing systems, AV capture/storage/retrieval systems, network streaming and digital signage solutions, building design, construction, and project management principles.
* Proven ability to interact with all levels and departments including corporate project stakeholders, associated design disciplines, and construction/system integration contractors.
* Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Motivated self-starter with ability to accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion.
* Able to work as individual contributor and contribute as part of a larger project team.
* Project Estimate and Proposal Peer Reviews
* Provide updates through internal processes
* Project management experience a plus
* Organized
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to physically perform customer site visits for opportunity meetings and site inspection
* Ability to physically perform site visits to perform Quality Control / Quality assurance inspections
* Ability to handle and shift support focus across multiple assignments
* Goal accomplishment oriented.
* Structured and methodical.
* Self-motivated and driven.
* Team player with organizational skills.
* Valid driver's license.
* Utilization of computer-based word processing, spread sheeting software programs such as Microsoft Office suite software programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Experience:

* Actual A/V Design: 3 years (Preferred)

License:

* CTS-D (Preferred)

REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Diploma or equivalent. Degree in related field is preferred.
* Attendance in the Electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
