Job Description

Position Overview:

Review, analyze, and modify business systems including implementation, testing and debugging to support Jagged Peak's application systems. Candidate must be able to consult with users to identify current work flows and clarify program objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manages communications with software vendors
* Assists in design, delivery and improvement by way of customizations and or enhancements to the vendor delivered software applications.
* Coordinates and directs vendors' efforts to assure bugs fixes and upgrades are delivered accurately, and that changes are properly tested before implemented in live production environments.
* Manage Vendor Software Applications - Implement upgrades, bug fixes or custom development. Provide training as necessary. Liaison with vendor representatives to develop custom specs, review release notes, coordinate testing and promote to live production environment. Meet periodically with vendor to ensure new developments meet with corporate strategies.
* Design specifications for custom development - Interface with end user and vendor to develop specifications for custom developments. Review programs to assure design meets specs, monitor costs and performance testing
* Maintain Application integrity - Monitor changes to applications, evaluate release notes prior to upgrades, control secure access, follow change management procedures for controlled systems
* Application Support - Point of contact for users to provide assistance and technical support, direct vendor contractors to resolve software issues, develop specifications and monitor development of custom utilities

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Certifications:

* 7+ years of experience in an Applications support role preferred; college degree preferred, but not required
* Oil & Gas industry experience required
* Effectively work with cross-discipline teams
* Experience with WellView, AFE Navigator, WellData Labs and Spotfire strongly preferred
* Knowledge of Excalibur, OpenInvoice, PowerBI, ProCount, Enerhub and PDS software a plus
* Database knowledge - fundamental experience with table structure, operational parameters, queries, basic scripting
* Ability to analyze user needs and create workflow process analysis
* Knowledge of SOX audit processes a plus
* Customer service oriented
* Use knowledge and skills to direct the work of vendors
* Must possess excellent communication, teamwork, planning, and organizing skills.
